Candace Murphy Sissac has been a practicing attorney since 1999. Her practice areas include: debt collection law, insurance defense, real estate law, succession litigation, wills, trust and estates, family law, consumer law, non-profit law, and personal injury.

While in law school, she practiced in the Loyola University Law Clinic catering to the legal needs of the economically deprived, and was a legal intern for the United States Department of Justice, Executive Office of Immigration Review.  Upon graduation and bar passage, she accepted a position as the Judicial Law Clerk for Judge E.S. Julien for the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans.  Upon completion of her clerkship, she accepted a position as an Associate Attorney with Lobman, Carnahan, Batt Angelle and Nader.  Her practice areas were insurance defense, class action defense and toxic tort litigation.  While with Lobman, she received her real estate license and began functioning as a legal consultant for licensed realtors in the Greater New Orleans Area.

After venturing in to the real estate arena, she accepted a position as an adjunct professor at Delgado Community College and was subsequently recruited by Lexis Nexis to oversee it’s Louisiana Law School Region.  In this position, she developed legal research curriculum to cater to the needs of the law school students as well as professors. She also worked as a disbursement attorney for the Small Business Administration’s Department of Disaster relief. In that capacity, she drafted mortgage documents and assisted borrowers with curing title defects.

Ms. Sissac has also taught legal research and writing and law firm management as an adjunct professor at Tulane University. She also obtained her Louisiana Broker’s License and functions as an associate broker with Century 21.

In 2006, Ms. Sissac was licensed with the Texas Bar.

When she is not practicing law, she is hanging out with her husband, and her 100 lbs. puppy.

She is excited to be returning to the Dallas area and joining Allen law Firm.
